From Instagram: "Photo by @edkashi Refugees walk through the overcrowded Al Za'atri refugee camp for Syrians, near Mafraq, Jordan on Nov. 17, 2013. Since Syria’s civil war began in March 2011, over 2 million people seeking sanctuary from the raging violence have fled to neighboring countries. Amidst this relentless wave of uncertainty, frustration, and fear, concerns of increased mental illness prevail. With over half of the refugee population under age 18, the psychological and emotional stability of Syria’s exiled youth is of particular concern. Ed Kashi of @viiphoto is taking over the @thephotographersgallery Instagram feed for one week to coincide with the exhibition #humanrightshumanwrongs. This image is from a photo essay that addresses #humanrights issues facing Syrian #refugees living in Jordan and Iraq." by natgeo
